Out and About--And the Hanky Panky Dress

Last night my hubby took our family out to the West Nugget Rib Cookoff in Sparks, Nevada. The event was on its wind-down, but you really couldn't tell by all the people attending chowing down on some of the best ribs ever!!

We did some sampling of a new-to-us vendor called "Maui Wowie", a nod towards our summer vacation in Maui that ended a month ago. And, OH WOWIE!! It was superb. Their sauce was perfectly sweet and tangy, absolutely finger-licking good! We also tried the fresh squeezed lemon ade which were also top rate. I love being so close to a city that has so much to offer.

What a welcome break after spending a good part of the day piecing together a new "favorite" dress for my daughter, made solely out of bandanna's. She absolutely loved her new dress, mainly because it was so easy for her to pick out the colors.  She decided to wear it to the cook off and had to be one of the most festive girls there!
